Effect of stretching exercises versus thermotherapy on restless legs syndrome symptoms, pain, and quality of sleep among pregnant women

Background: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a sensory-motor disorder affecting up to one in three pregnant women, which peaks during the third trimester and linked poor pregnancy outcomes. Symptoms typically worsen period of inactivity, especially at night, resulting sleep disruption or deprivation. This study aimed compare effects stretching exercises versus thermotherapy on RLS symptoms quality among women. Study design: A quasi-experimental was carried out antenatal outpatient clinic Maternity University Hospital. sample 60 women randomly assigned two groups. One group instructed perform leg daily for week, other applied thermotherapy. They rated their symptoms, pain level, baseline after receiving interventions. Results: severity declined mild level immediately week performing (53.3%, 93.3%), compared 6.7% 63.3% those who (p=0.001, p= 0.02).
